I think everyone should go watch Dark Knight THIS WEEKEND. Here's Why.

Friday I overslept again.
But managed to do my normal tasks. Check my snail mail. Check my phone to see which loan company is trying to offer me a loan despite me having shit credit and asking them to leave me the fuck alone. And then I checked my facebook.

To be honest, facebook is more a place to forward pictures and post statuses to piss people off but that Friday was different.
My friend posted a status saying there had been a shooting in Colorado. Now everyone remembers the Columbine High School shooting in 1999 and I thought this may of been a copy cat or an similar style shooting.

I was sadly mistaken.
The shootings took place in a cinema that just happened to be showing Dark Knight Rises.
What's sad is there's rumors that suspect dyed his hair red (which is odd as the character is known for his trademark green hair) and called himself The Joker, arguably Batman's most famous foe.

This reminds me of a similar case in Britain.
On the 12th of February (Side personal note: 2 days before my birthday) 1993, a boy was taken from a shopping centre, mutilated, murdered and left on a railway track. 2 boys 2 days afterwards were charged with the boy's murder. What was blamed? Horror films (which the press called at the time 'video nasties') such as Child's Play 3 which I believe was banned for some years after the murder despite Minister of State saying there was no strong evidence that the murder was linked to film(s) mentioned.

As soon as I knew it was on opening night of Batman, alarm bells rang in my head.
It's human nature that we demand justice after such a heinous act. However it's also human nature to assume the worst in a group of people.
I'm worried that the media will blame the film or/and hollywood for such acts of violent despite the hollywood machine spitting dull writing, unoriginal ideas and drying franchises out to death. But that's another story.

An trailer for the upcoming film 'Gangster Squad' which would normally be shown has been pulled due to the trailer showing a scene where mobsters firing into a movie theater from behind the screen.
I doubt this scene will be included in the film's final cut, now.

The movie 'Neighborhood Watch' is now 'The Watch' after the Zimmerman/Martin shooting and trial.

Gotham universe fans have been patiently waiting for this weekend for 3 years.
In light of such a terrible event, I ask of you to support this film as best you can. Show the world Gotham city universe/Batman/DC/JLA fans have no part of the suspect who is trying to ruin this film's opening weekend by his actions. We will ignore him but remember those he has slayed.

Please guys. Go and enjoy this movie. Write a review of what you liked, what you didn't like. This film has had so much bad press this week. Let's show the world we're not angry people. Go and enjoy but please keep those who died, injured and the family of the above in your thoughts and prayers.

Also please forward this message.

Let the world know.

Thank you.

PS, if there's spelling mistake and grammar errors in this, please do not be a troll. I'm trying to be sincere in this note.
